Stroke/Neuro Support Group to meet October 20

Myra Knapp

Are you caring for a loved one who has stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease or another neurological condition or movement disorder? Or are you your own caregiver? Members of the Stroke/Neuro Support Group understand that caregivers may need an outlet and an opportunity to share concerns and solutions in a supportive atmosphere.

Our next monthly meetings will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 20, and Friday, November 17 in the East Room at the MountainView Bistro. If you would like to join us, please call Janine Wahlfeld at 1-619-838-7080 or email Myra Knapp at [email protected].

At our October 20 meeting, Reginald A. Stout, DAOM(c), MAcOM, LAc, will be with us to speak about the use of acupuncture in treating Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Stout has had a long career in acupuncture and homeopathic medicine and is a member of several professional associations, including the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is also a past president of the Arizona Society of Acupuncture.

We look forward to seeing you at either or both of these meetings.
