Yeah, yippee, we were finally able to have our first tennis social this year! If you recall, our New Year’s and Valentine socials were cancelled due to rain. Therefore, the flute playing legend of Kokopelli may be true because we felt the transition from winter to spring with a gentle breeze and warmer weather. We had a nice turn-out of 50 players for our March 20 event. Players rotated once so folks could meet new people to play.
Following tennis play was a very nice accompaniment of appetizers brought by the social players and a great selection of beer and wine provided by the club. A special thank you to our social coordinator John Sochacki, and those that helped set up and clean up: Linda Oberski, Carol Sochacki, Kent Naugle, Rufus Renfrow, Frank Valenti (fixing the wind screen) and Debbie McGeehan.
