On Monday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. the UA Percussion Studio will be returning to the Concerts at SaddleBrooke series. Skins and Steel 3 will offer an entertaining evening of music featuring the amazing versatility of the world of percussion instruments. Four groups will be presenting works that span the entire percussion universe. You’ll be amazed at all the sounds-—and all the wonderful musicianship-—of these exceptional groups!

The evening will include the music of UA Steel featuring instruments from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago that are both highly melodic and rhythmically powerful.

The Rosewood Marimba Band will perform the classic ragtime arrangements of George Hamilton Green, Harry Breuer, Scott Joplin and others. There is, perhaps, no music that is more American in nature than the early jazz composed between 1920 and 1930.

The UA Percussion Group will be performing a variety of contemporary percussion works written exclusively for this exciting medium and Crosstalk is a totally electronic percussion group that performs on the newest cutting-edge instruments incorporating music technology and computers.

Tickets are available online at www.dvpac.net or can be purchased by calling the box office at 825-2818.

Tickets can be picked up at will-call on the night of the performance.

All seats are $22 in advance or $25 at the door.
