That box of holiday candy will be gone in a week. That book you received will be read and on the shelf in a month. That poinsettia might make it through the season. How about a gift that you can use seventy-two times a year? Yes, that’s the gift Senior Village gives to each of its members.
Over 500 residents in SaddleBrooke already enjoy the benefits of Senior Village membership. They only need to dial 520-314-1042 to request transportation to appointments or errands, simple repairs around the house or opportunities to join in social activities for members such as our birthday lunch, book club, bingo, putters and more. Dues are less than one dollar a week, an amazing value for seventy-two services a year. Singles pay $48 annually and a household is $60.
While member dues pay the operational bills like our insurance premiums, voicemail system, security background checks, website, copying, postage and more, we will need continued support from individual and community patrons as we move forward to expand our services and keep pace with membership. Ongoing funding will ensure the Village’s future financial stability.
Holidays are a time for giving and receiving. We greatly appreciate the dozens of individual donations we have received this year as well as the generosity of SaddleBrooke groups and clubs that named us as their charitable beneficiaries: Jeff Shields/Charles Schwab Senior Men’s Putting Tournament, Friday Quilters Group and SaddleBrooke Lady Niners.
If you would like to participate in the spirit of holiday giving to the community where you live, here are ways you could fill Senior Village’s stocking:
Become a Patron: As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, donations to the Village are tax-deductible. Also, we are recognized as an Arizona Qualified Charitable Organization. By donating to the Village, you can receive AZ tax credit of $400 for a single or $800 for a joint return. The amount of your donation is deducted from your Arizona tax bill.

As 2018 draws to a close, Senior Village wants to say thank you to our community for its generous support in the past year. Fulfilling our mission of neighbors helping neighbors live independently would not be possible without your support.
