On November 1, 3 and 8 forty members of SBWGA participated in the annual Cactus Classic, a three day net tournament. Hooray for the Red, White and Blue was the tournament theme this year. Lynn Stewart was the overall champion with a three day net score of 206.
Congratulations to Lynn for her excellent play! Thank you to Sue Bush and Chris Crum for chairing the tournament.
Miracle Ear sponsored the Cactus Classic. Miracle Ear representatives Russ Arpasi and Nate Buck attended the November 8 awards luncheon presenting our players with goodie bags, golf balls, flag ball markers and gift cards. Their support was much appreciated and definitely added to the fun and excitement of the day!
Our new Board Members were also sworn in at the November 8 meeting. They are Sheila Clarkin, president; Venetia Lewis, vice president; Sarah Earnest, secretary; Karen Vander Jagt, treasurer;
Sandi Chester, Tuesday Play Chair; Carol Bidwell, Special Tournament Chair; Phyllis Sarrels, Handicap Chair; Sally Drennan, Membership Chair and Brenda Brown, advisor. A big thank you to our outgoing Board for their hard work and leadership this past year!
We have had two more holes-in-one! Diane Cathey aced Catalina No. 8 and Kerry Crowell No. 2 on SaddleBrooke. Putting is overrated—just hit it in the hole! Congratulations to both!
