Club leadership starts with the STC nominations committee

The STC has become one of the most enjoyable and exciting clubs in the entire SaddleBrooke Community. The evidence is seen at our events, parties and in the amiable friendships that are developing among our members. There is a reason for this valuable development.

The 2015 and 2016 members of the Board of Directors have engaged in innovations that have resulted in nothing less than a new club atmosphere. Consider the innovations they have introduced. We are being brought together by the new Scramble OP, Ladies OPUS, presenting the U of A Wildcats teams to SaddleBrooke, a new STC Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SaddleBrookeTennisClub/), updating the USTA/Club rating system, working with the HOA 2 Board to bring the sunscreens to our extended patio and initiating club pro clinics for all levels of play. Well, that’s just to mention a few.

Now it is time to insure the continuation of these achievements and to preserve the healthy atmosphere at STC. The STC Nominating Committee, whose duty it will be to prepare a slate of nominees for the 2017 Board of Directors, will accomplish that in no small measure.

The responsibility for that assurance rests on the Nominating Committee. That’s where you can contribute to the club’s future. You may do that by volunteering to serve on the Nominating Committee.

A Membership Meeting is scheduled for April 13, 2016, at a location to be announced. During that meeting, three new members of the committee will be selected from those who volunteer to serve. Please volunteer at that meeting.

To get a better idea about the committee’s duty and the volunteer process, feel free to call either of the hold-over members from last year’s committee, Jay Clayton Wilson (906-9943 [email protected]) or Susi Fantin (818-7896 [email protected]). They will provide clear information and urge you to volunteer.
