On November 14, 2016 the SaddleBrooke Swim Club held a club party with a Hawaiian/Polynesian theme. All members arrived to the party with a lei welcome! People were dressed in their best flowered shirt or dress. Next they went on to get their favorite drink of the night, a mai tai made by club bartenders Jim Oswald and Jeff Eighmy. The party commenced with a welcome by the current club President Phil Simpson. Other board members introduced were Lyn Moreno, vice president and Joan Pierce, club treasurer.

After everyone had their fill of delicious salads and appetizers, the club was treated to a presentation of Hawaiian dancing by the Hawaiian group. Several swim club members were selected to try out their dance moves, complete with grass skirts. Who knew this club could dance as well as they swim.

Fresh from the annual Ron Johnson meet held over the weekend November 12 and 13, this group could still bust a move. Winning the Ron Johnson meet put everyone in a good mood. Or was it those mai tais?

After a brief Swim Club meeting, the members moved on to an array of delicious desserts.

The SaddleBrooke Club practice swims several mornings a week at DesertView pool. Come on down and check out the schedule, other articles and photos under the covered area near the water fountain.
