You’ve been waiting and it’s finally here! Celebrate the holiday season with this upbeat program that will bring joy and good cheer to all members of the audience.

On December 2 and 4, the SaddleBrooke Singers will present A Holiday to Remember, a musical revue arranged by renowned choral arranger Max Huff. It is described as a multi-traditional choral celebration, which means there will be holiday songs representing many different traditions. Songs include Happy Holiday, Once Upon a Wintertime, White Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, My Friend, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Do You Hear What I Hear and more, since some of these titles are medleys of many songs. Get ready to rock with Rudolph, Santa, and the whole gang as they party on the stage.

In addition to the wonderful choral sound you’ve come to expect from the SaddleBrooke Singers, the show features additional entertainment for you provided by a backup band and dance numbers by the SaddleBrooke SilverBelles. This season the chorus will have 65 singers, our largest complement of vocalists in years. Add the other performers to the mix and the cast will include over 80 of your friends and neighbors living in SaddleBrooke who have combined their talents to bring you a program you won’t soon forget!

But wait, there’s more! That’s only half the program.

The other half will consist of a century of holiday favorites, with one holiday song from every decade of the Twentieth Century. Beginning with Bell Carol from the 1900s and ending with Christmas is Coming from 2000, you will be transported down memory lane enjoying some of your favorite songs as you travel. Winter Wonderland from the 1930’s, The Christmas Song (chestnuts roasting on open fire) from the 1940’s and Light One Candle from the 1980’s are just a few of the stops along the way. A special treat for your enjoyment will be Gesu Bambino with the soaring soprano solo being sung by our Director Tanya Elias-Graf.

They say magic moments can happen any time but in December they are bountiful. Let this program be your magic moment to kick off the holiday season in style on the first weekend of December. At only $18 a ticket, this is your best entertainment buy of the year at the DesertView Theatre!

Here are the details: Concerts are at the DesertView Performing Arts Center on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door (if available).
