On the morning of February 1, 16 pickleball association members grabbed bags and donned safety vests for their first pick up of trash and debris along an adopted portion of Edwin Road from Columbus (eastern boundary) to Eagle Crest Parkway (western boundary). These four teams of four volunteers collected lots of paper and plastic bottles, plus a bag of hypodermic needles which was turned in to the fire department.

Seeing the contribution made by Cyclemasters on SaddleBrooke Boulevard, SPA President Tom Kruse suggested that the pickleball club participate in the Pinal County Adopt-a-Highway program and the SPA board unanimously approved. These trash pickups will take place several times a year. Thank you for making a difference!
