Shiloh escaped the shelter.

It’s “Christmas in July – Payoff the Vet Debt” campaign going on now

With only hours before a dog was to be dumped at the county shelter, we called a local rescue for help. She had 16 dogs in her home and $3500 in vet debt but her immediate response was, “Yes, I’ll take him.” Tucson’s Rescue Community is an unsung hero behind Pima Animal Care Center’s exceptional live release rate and a life saver to many hundreds of pets who never need to enter the shelter system. Rescues rehabilitate the sick, hurt, senior and distressed but at a great financial cost.

Tucson rescues carry an enormous combined vet debt that we’re conservatively estimating at over $30,000. Hundreds of volunteers, most with full time jobs, spend every spare moment saving, vetting and rehoming these pets. There is just no time to fundraise. That’s where the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue wants to help!

Thanks to your generous support over the year, we have $10,000 to donate. We decided the biggest impact would be a $1 for $1 matching gift campaign where your gifts made more money so we’ve launched our first city-wide campaign Christmas in July – Payoff Vet Debt.

100% of donations will go directly to a vet, allocated equally to all groups up to 100% of their debt and are tax-deductible as allowed by law under Lil Bit of Love tax id 81-1649265. A cancelled check or PayPal email confirmation is your receipt.

Visit www.payoffvetdebt.com to see the actual outstanding vet debt, photos of amazing rescues and participating rescue groups. You may donate online or by check to LBL Payoff Vet Debt, 63457 E. Squash Blossom Lane, Tucson, Arizona 85739.

Thank you, SaddleBrooke—we’re making a difference!
