Payoff vet debt campaign raised 30k in 30 days

Thanks to generous SaddleBrooke pet lovers, the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network offered a $15,000 $1 “fur” $1 match if Tucson residents would donate the same. We had great media coverage in both television and newspaper but social media was the big winner. And when donations started to slow, Bonnie Kay, a Tucson resident, offered to add a $1 to our match during the last week.

We ended the 30-day campaign on July 15 raising $15,346 from the Tucson community and sent $30,346 directly to 11 rescue group vet accounts. With over $350,000 in vet expenses last year, these groups were beyond grateful for our support.

Thank you, SaddleBrooke, for changing lives like Naysa’s, a six-year-old Chihuahua with Cold Wet Noses Rescue. Found by animal control abandoned in a back yard, she was extremely thin with numerous health issues, including Valley Fever. She has been with TCWN since November 2015. Naysa has come a long way since her rescue as a sick, fearful dog to now a much healthier and confident girl. Naysa seeks a loving family willing to be patient while she adjusts to new people. Call Leslie at 724-689-9843 if you want to learn more about this sweet girl. This would be a true rescue!
