Amber Lights peaceful demonstration

Lynne Kumza

One fine day this spring, 16 members of the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club gave of their time and love of dance to the grateful and enthusiastic community of Amber Lights Assisted Living and Retirement Home. We were cheerfully greeted by the staff, residents and visitors. As we danced, we noticed many smiles and happy faces among the audience and passersby. We demonstrated a typical dance program, dancing to an array of different styles of music. Many people think line dancing is just done to Western music, but that’s not true, as we swing and swayed and stomped our feet to the Disco, Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Samba, Rumba and Bossa Nova.

As we departed our hearts were full, knowing that we brought a little bit of sunshine into the lives of so many kind and loving folks.

Since our hearts were full, our next stop was to get something done to make our stomachs full. A good choice was made to eat lunch at Outback at Foothills Mall.
