SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club

 Spooky Halloween party

Lynne Kumza

It was a grave yard smash! In October the Vermilion Room crypt came alive with witches, spiders, even a spider web, a butterfly and bee, a cat and Peter Pan. They were creepy, kooky and spooky; also cute and mysterious. What could this be? It was just a few members of the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club having a howling good time at our annual Halloween Party. After an hour of dancing, all the creatures needed a bit of rest and refreshments. The witch’s brew was cool and refreshing.

The favorite costume contest was won by Claudia Rigg as a spider web and Jackie McCarthy as spider lady. You can see these scary creatures in the photo. Claudia, in her handmade crochet spider web costume, is standing on the left and Jackie is in the purple, fifth from the right. Prizes were gift certificates from Sauce and Frost.

Then it was back to the dance floor for more dancing to the spine-tingling music of the season. Three bags of treats were passed out to each participant to enjoy at home. Two of the treats were cookies baked by Barbara Brunswig and Lynne Kumza.
