The Niners had their biannual Invitational on April 5. The goals were to have fun, meet new people and support Girls Junior Golf of Tucson. It was lots of fun welcoming ladies from 10 different clubs. They came from as far away as Green Valley and Eloy and as near as MountainView. The games included many ways to improve the scores of the four person teams. Strategies had to be planned in order to use a Magic Putt or a get out of the sand bunker or a Mulligan or everyone’s favorite—the Pro drive. After golf everyone enjoyed the delicious lunch while listening for the winning teams or individuals being announced and taking in the style show of the latest golf fashions.

Prize money good in our golf shop was paid to 16 winners on the Tucson course and 16 winners on the SaddleBrooke course. After expenses, all the funds raised went to the Girls Junior Golf of Tucson.

Congratulations to the Invitational Committee led by Barbara Johnson and Maria Byers for a great job preparing for the day. Thanks also to our Food and Beverage staff led by David Bishow and the Golf Pro staff led by Bernie Eaton.
