SaddleBrooke gets its first owl nesting box

After much searching for “just the right spot” and consultation with a bird expert SaddleBrooke’s own naturalist Jim Cloer selected a tree in Bobcat Canyon for SaddleBrooke One’s first owl nesting box.

On January 24, supervised by Jim, David Leary cut his way through the underbrush to the selected tree and successfully installed the nesting box. Right now, the box can be seen from Bobcat Canyon Road, but once spring time arrives the trees will once again leaf out making the box virtually invisible. Surrounding neighbors encouraged the building of nesting boxes in this area after reading about the great generosity of the SaddleBrooke Lady Golfers and their support of nesting boxes on the SaddleBrooke Golf Courses.
