In its continuing effort to fulfill its mission “To cycle for fun, food, fitness and community service,” the SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters have come through again. At the club’s final spring meeting members were challenged to donate adult clothes, twin sheets, blankets, towels and personal care items such as shampoo, shower gel, lotions and feminine products for the Sister Jose Hobday Homeless Women’s Center of Tucson. The response was overwhelming! Virtually every attendee at the meeting brought multiple bags of needed items. The response was so great that the items overflowed a member’s pickup truck.

Bob Halk and Mike Brenny, fundraising chairman, delivered the items to the shelter. Executive Director Jean Fedigan and volunteer Jackie Kemp were on hand to receive the donated items. They were extremely grateful for the generosity of the SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters.

This is just another way that the residents of SaddleBrooke are making a difference in our community.
