At an event labeled Coffee, Conversation and Connections, the women of SaddleBrooke’s new church, Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke, were invited to a November 14 social which was held at the home of Judy Stanard on Winding Trail Drive. Judy and Karen Hustad co-hosted with goodies preparation assistance by Sharon Dunn and Barbara Webb; 23 women attended and another dozen indicated a desire to attend but had schedule conflicts. In total, this represents roughly 40 percent of the women who are regular attendees of Resurrection Church. Three of the women present, Pat Vierick, Lois Ruschke and Marge Guinn, are wives of pastors serving the church. Marge is the coordinator of a Circle which currently meets in our community and is the contact for anyone who is interested in attending.

In addition to lots of good fellowship and the opportunity to bond with each other, the women learned of ways they might be of service in a new and rapidly growing church. Among the ways mentioned were serving as readers, ushers and communion servers as well as joining one of the small groups which are forming now in the church and are intended to form a source of individual and collective strength within the congregation.

Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds its all-denominational Sunday worship service at 10:00 a.m. in the Vermillion Room of the HOA No. 1 Clubhouse. All are welcome.
