Once again, The Rhythm Gang Big Band of Tucson was invited to The Fountains at La Cholla for an afternoon of holiday musical enjoyment.

Under the direction of Ed Sand, The Rhythm Gang entertained the residents to big band era songs along with holiday tunes.

The Fountains at La Cholla residents loved having the music of their memories brought back to them in their living room.

A few of the instrumentals played were Witchcraft, Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, A Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) and even Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The Rhythm Gang Big Band of Tucson’s very own Luke Howell sang A Tender Trap, Day in Day Out and I Left My Heart in San Francisco, as well as many others.

Jerry, a happy attendee, told us he has been to concerts of big bands as far back as he can remember. He has seen Tommy Dorsey, Gene Krupa, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton and the Glen Miller Orchestra under several different directors. Jerry commented that he was well pleased with The Rhythm Gang Big Band of Tucson’s sound.

The afternoon of musical enjoyment was closed with The Rhythm Gang’s very own theme song, I Can’t Stop Loving You and sincere wishes to all the residents and staff of The Fountains at La Cholla for a very warm and wonderful holiday season of happiness.
