Wednesday, March 29, members of the SaddleBrooke Dog Park held a Fun Raiser for the Dog Park. The Roadrunner Grill provided their famous pizza and salad bar and organizer Trudy Rossi helped the park raise over $1,200 for park enhancements for the pups. Over 70 people bought tickets and sponsors and friends donated fabulous door prizes. “We wanted to do something for our snowbirds to say goodbye before they left and this idea worked,” said Rossi. It was also an opportunity to introduce new Board Members (elected in February) to the membership.

The Dog Park is private for SaddleBrooke residents and the park is self-supporting. “Our $65 per family annual membership dues must cover a budget of almost $22,000 in expenses,” said Kathleen Dunbar, the newly elected president of the Dog Park. We are appreciative of over 200 members and equally important are our 16 sponsors. Of course, we are always looking for new sponsors and new members.”

The consensus of everyone in attendance was “let’s do it again.” Ideas are floating for our fall Fun Raiser. Everyone admitted they had fun, even though their four-legged pals were left at home!
