Patsy (Pat) L. Scott

Pat Scott passed away on April 16, 2014, after a lengthy battle with esophageal cancer. She was born in New Castle, Indiana, on September 7, 1930 to parents Yuma Duffey and Arthur Scott. She graduated from Indiana University, received a master’s degree at Butler University and a doctorate in educational psychology from BYU. She was a teacher, counselor and educational psychologist during her 42 years as an educator. She retired in 1994 from Los Angeles Unified School District and moved to SaddleBrooke, Arizona. Pat was an active member of the community who enjoyed clogging, Tai Chi, music, theater, handwriting analysis, computer classes and sports. She won multiple Senior Olympic gold medals over a nine year period. Pat will be missed by all of the hearts she touched including her beloved rescue dogs, Murphy and Timmy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke Activity Center.
