Partners Western Dance

Jane Gromelski

In mid-October, Jane and Stan Gromelski, SaddleBrooke residents, offered Beginner Texas Two Step and Western Waltz dance classes again on Wednesdays starting at 6:00 p.m. Classes will be held in the MountainView Ballroom. Classes will began on October 18. They will run for five weeks and tuition is $40 per couple. Intermediate classes started on the same day at 7:00 p.m.

We try to make classes relaxed and fun; it is easier to learn when you are having fun and we dance because it is fun!

On Thursdays we will continue to offer Beginners Partner Pattern dance classes at 6:00 p.m. and Intermediate classes will start at 7:00 p.m. These Partner Pattern dances offer a change of pace for our dancers. Some are easy, others more complicated, but they are all part of the challenge and fun of Western dance. These classes are $4 per person, per class. Classes began on Monday, October 23 in the Mariposa Room at DesertView. This is a single Monday class; on November 2 they will switch back to Thursdays. The Pattern dance classes will run through December 14.

The Partners Western Dance Club has dances scheduled with Branded Duo on Sunday, November 12 and with Wild Ride on Sunday, December 3 and a Grand New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance.

Club membership is $15 per person and open to all SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents. Each dance will be a dinner dance. The November 12 dance will be a Turkey dinner. Please email me for further information.

We will also have DJ dances on the third Thursday of October and December in the Vermilion Room of the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Volunteer DJs will provide the music. This is Burger Night at HOA 1; we can order from the menu, socialize, then get in a few hours of Western dancing from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. The first DJ dance will be October 19. Since these Thursday Burger Nights are very popular, please email me that you will attend by October 10 so I can make a reservation for tables.

If you have not heard, the Oracle Inn has new owners who do not want to use live bands. Many of us danced there on weekend nights. The great band compensated for the small dance floor. We will try to partially fill the void by using HOA 1 and Vistoso.

We may want to hire Wild Ride for our Thursday HOA 1 Dance. Whatever, be prepared for a number of ground pounding, boot stomping dance opportunities. Yee Haw!

Grab your partner, some friends and come join the growing number of Western dancers here in SaddleBrooke.
