2014 is coming to a fast close and there has been much ado with SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association-18. Our new leaders were inducted into office and our old (sorry!) Board of Directors were honored at the December 2 luncheon meeting. A huge thank you to the 2014 Board for their dedication, efforts and the many hours spent ensuring our organization ran smoothly. The 2014 Board included President, Diane Ray, Vice President, Debra Finn, Secretary, Sue Bush, Treasurer, Victoria Wareing/Karen Haddock, Tuesday Play-Day Chair, Reenie Romey, Special Tournament Chair, Judy Fick, Handicap Chair, Sheila Clarkin, Membership Chair, Ret Convey and Kerry Wolfe, Advisor. 2015 officers are President, Debra Finn, Vice President, Abbie Egolf, Secretary, Angie Denahan, Treasurer, Karen Haddock, Tuesday Play-Day Chair, Reenie Romey, Special Tournament Chair, Judy Fick, Handicap, Brenda Brown, Membership, Molly Fullerton and Advisor, Diane Ray.

And the best November Aces are Jean Molitor (Low Gross of 83) and Judy Melo (Low Net of 66). Nice rounds, ladies, and good luck in the December play-off where the Ace of Aces will be announced! Qualifiers for this honor have been playing great golf. Look for our Ace of Aces in the next article.

As the year comes to an end we are also announcing several winners in various events. The State Medallion winners are Adrienne Brown (low net) and Kerry Crowell (low gross). Southern District Telegraph Tournament award was won by Jean Molitor and the Fitzpatrick Par Points award winner is Eila Sallaberry. Congratulations to all!

Upcoming events include a three day match play tournament, the President’s Cup. Players will compete in a qualifying round as part of the Ace Day Tournament on January 20. The first matches will begin as soon as the field is determined with the championship match being completed by March 2. All participants must play three days. February 24 is the Sadie Hawkins event! It’s time to start thinking about inviting your Abner to play in this fun filled one day tournament. For additional information, please visit our website at www.sbwga.com.

From the old, the new and the best, the membership of SBWGA-18 wish you a very blessed holiday and healthy, happy New Year!
