Join us on March 9 for LGBT History. Come join an exploration of some key episodes in the formation of gay identities in American history, from the first private clubs of “bachelor” men in the cities of the late 1700s to the “Boston marriages” of 19th century women to the modern gay rights era. Along the way, we’ll consider the category of gay history itself, and place the American experience against a wider sweep of historical development. Talk and conversation led by Nell Brownell, Ph.D., American history, Brown University.

Note location: Sonoran Room at the Mountainview Clubhouse at 5:30 p.m. Drinks can be obtained in the Clubhouse Bar, but no food.
