For four weeks in March, the MountainView Preserve Lady Niners (MPLN) participated in a modified match play format. In order to finish with a possible score, players did not give putts or concede holes. The player with a lower net score than her opponent on a given hole earned one point for that hole. A tie score on a given hole earned each player one-half point.

Winners were determined by adding their points earned in the best of three out of four weeks for a possible total of 27 points. The field of 23 was divided into two flights and the following ladies posted an impressive accumulation of points.

Flight 1: first place, Sue Wilson (17.5 points); second place (tie), Diane Mazzarella and Kay Tomaszek (15.5)

Flight 2: first place, Becky Lima (22 points); second place, Maria Miller (18 points); third place, Karyle Steele (16.5 points)

The MPLN wants to thank Kathy Schoenwetter and Caryl Dowell for organizing this event.

Congratulations to you all.
