Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church is hosting an Advent adult education opportunity entitled “Jesus: The Early Years.” The class, taught by the Rev. Dr. Rodney R. Hutton, will focus on the biblical and post-biblical stories of the birth, infancy and youth of Jesus. The stories in Matthew and Luke will lead to a consideration of early Christian writings often regarded as outside the normative orthodox tradition. We will also consider how these stories were expanded and came over into the Islamic tradition. You may encounter stories about Jesus and his mom that you never knew existed. Classes will be held at Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church on Mondays from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Contact the church office for further information.
