Dr. Mark Magdanz

Forty-five of your SaddleBrooke and Ranch friends and neighbors spent the afternoon of March 18 on the MountainView Ballroom dance floor. Almost 30 different dances were performed at the fun and energetic afternoon party. A great time was had by all and a donation ($357) was raised and will be split between SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Arizona Waltz was again performed. This is a little dance choreographed for the days when Oracle State Park was being rescued from state budget austerity. It was first performed for Save the Oracle State Park fundraiser a few years back. For those who haven’t heard our state song—here is a link to the song and a beautiful slide show of Arizona sights // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7xedmvJTzk. Or you can search in you tube for I Love You Arizona and get to it with less typing. It’s performed by Rex Allen, Jr. His father did another waltz by the same name—so don’t get them confused—the real one is very pretty.

Some of your friends and neighbors are also seen dancing on YouTube. The videos created by Gary Hammond (10 total) are available. Find one and you can continue to get on to even more examples of instructional and line party videos. Search your tube by entering: dance name plus line dance video, i.e. Feel Luck Walkin’ line dance video—-and you’ll find SaddleBrookers at play.

More dances are Arizona Waltz, Come On Back, Imelda’s Way, Tell the World, Meringue Espana DHSS. Hope you can find and enjoy some SaddleBrooke line dance videos.
