Several members of the Catalina Mountains Satellite Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) recently participated in a charity golf tournament held at the Views Golf Course at Sun City-Oro Valley on Aug. 31. The tournament was sponsored by the American Legion Oro Valley Post 132. Proceeds went to benefit local veterans in need and the families of deployed local National Guard Soldiers.

The MOAA is a nonprofit veterans service organization dedicated to maintaining a strong national defense and to preserve the earned entitlements of members of the uniformed services and their families and survivors. The Catalina Mountains Satellite (Tucson) Chapter of MOAA meets the third Saturday of each month, October through April, at the Catalina Room of the Mesquite Grill, MountainView Country Club, starting at 11:30 a.m. with lunch followed by a short business meeting and a guest speaker. Spouses are welcome. Please contact Col. Bill Nagy 520-355-5064, [email protected] or Col. Kurt McMillen 520-270-5856, [email protected] for more information.
