Some new socks in the making

Bobbi Forsch

Mother Nature has really been busy here in the Brooke. First we had temperatures in August that felt like June, being over 100 degrees. Next came the downpours, hard enough to wash things away and cancel any outdoor activities. You would think all that weather might keep people home. Not so! The Knit Wits are still busy every Wednesday morning. Karen taught a sock class and several of our members are trying to muddle through their first sock attempt. All the socks look really good. Charity knitting projects are coming in fast and furiously for several groups. We have a few new members who have joined our group recently. We have some newly donated yarns and books. Best of all, we have lots of friendly people willing to share ideas, patterns, help or just sit and visit. If you have a free Wednesday morning and like to knit or crochet, come see who we are. We meet every Wednesday morning, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. in HOA 1 Activity Center Rooms 3 and 4.
