Even though it’s summer and so many of our winter visitors have gone to cooler climates there are still exciting things going on at Knit Wits. After Jonelle and Velvet visited us in March from Southwest Trading Company in Phoenix, Velvet went home and created a shawl and named it the SaddleBrooke Shawl. What an honor for us. You can find it by googling Velvet Dishon’s SaddleBrook [the e is missing] Shawl. The pattern is free. At SWTC they have kits available for purchase for the shawl. Our own Claudia Brust taught a class on blocking our finished projects, a very important skill for all of us. Members are working on so many personal projects as well as continuing to do charity knitting. Although it’s hot outside our rooms are air conditioned and we continue to meet for fun every Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. in rooms three and four at HOA1 Activity Center. Come visit to see what’s happening.
