In the Knit Wits group you can learn some new things; or not. It is up to you! One recent class was on how to use a lifeline. A lifeline in knitting is often used when knitting a pattern that includes lace. Some people use dental floss as a lifeline, or it might be embroidery floss. It helps if you find a mistake in your lace pattern and have to rip out some rows. A lifeline holds your stitches together.

Another class was on making a baby blanket with a crochet edge. So many ladies have done these, not only for our Family First charity, but also for their own family members. Cute idea and pretty quick!

During the summer we also will be doing a road trip – including lunch – to a local yarn shop. It’s always fun to see new yarns and touch them for inspiration.

Our Knit Wits group will continue to meet through the summer heat. You can find us every Wednesday in the HOA 1 Arts and Crafts Center, Room 4. We start at 9:00 a.m. Come keep cool with us and check out what we are doing. We are very friendly and welcome newbies anytime!
