Our sixth annual SaddleBrooke Troop Support Baby Shower was held in February. Knit Wits members were very busy knitting and crocheting items for the baby baskets that would be created for Tucson military families. Georgiann Schwetz coordinated this event along with Beth Bradford, Chairman of SaddleBrooke Troop Support.

Our items included 75 blankets, 45 hat and sweater sets and 50 more hats. Also, many members shopped and bought other essential items for Mom and baby such as: lotions, baby clothes, socks, bibs, toys and books. Beth was visibly overwhelmed with the generous outpouring of support from our ladies. As of this writing, 20 baskets have been created with many more to go!

The Knit Wits have meetings every Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. We can be found in the HOA 1 Arts and Crafts Center, Room 4. Feel like joining us or stopping by to check us out? New members are always welcome.
