Join FSL for an exciting trip to Utah parks

Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries (FSL) is excited to announce another great trip to Utah parks including Bryce, Zion and Glen Canyon. The bus trip will depart from SaddleBrooke on April 19 and return on April 25. This escorted tour is designed for those who have never visited the parks and for return travelers who will welcome a new itinerary with many different and interesting tours.

On day one we will enjoy a light breakfast on the bus as we drive toward our first stop at the Cameron Trading Post. On the way we will stop for lunch in Flagstaff and tour Sunset Crater Volcano and Wupatki National Monument. The day ends at Cameron Trading Post where we will dine and spend the night and have a tour of the Native American Art Gallery.

We leave the Cameron Trading Post after breakfast and head toward Zion National Park. We stop enroute to tour Navajo Bridge, Lee’s Ferry and Lonely Dell Ranch. Our lunch stop is in Kanab after which we arrive in Zion and have an orientation tour of the park. We will have dinner at Zion Lodge which will also be our hotel for two nights.

Day three will be a free day for exploring Zion and Springdale. Options include various hikes, the park museum and visitor center all accessible with a free shuttle bus. A free shuttle is also available for those wanting to visit Springdale to shop or enjoy lunch. Note that breakfast and lunch are on your own but we will enjoy dinner together.

We will have breakfast at Zion Lodge before heading toward Bryce Canyon National Park. Before arriving at Bryce we have an opportunity to tour the Maynard Dixon Home and Studio in Mt. Carmel. At Bryce Canyon we will visit the various viewpoints before dinner at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon which is our hotel for the night.

Day five takes us from Bryce to Page. After breakfast at The Lodge we will tour Kodachrome Basin State Park. Lunch will be followed by a visit to Antelope Canyon and a Lake Powell boat trip. Dinner will be at the Antelope Point Marina. Lake Powell Resort is our hotel for two nights.

Day six is a busy one starting with breakfast at Lake Powell Resort; we will have a guided tour of Glen Canyon Dam followed by a half day Colorado River Float trip with lunch. We will enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Powell before returning to our hotel.

Our last day starts with breakfast at the Lake Powell Resort before heading back to SaddleBrooke. Lunch along the way will be in Sedona.
