Seven teams vied for prize money at the annual Trivia Potluck meeting.

Our annual Jewish Trivia/Potluck evening was a wonderful fun event with seven teams vying for the huge prize money. Although the potluck was supposed to be only appetizers and desserts, it was a veritable feast. The trivia was wildly entertaining with many comments from the participants including historical information. Since so many of the answers were names, everyone would have done much better in their younger years when our memories were better!

On March 22 the JFG is going as a group to the Tucson Holocaust Museum for a docent led tour. Cost is $7 per person – exact change, please! We will meet at the Bocce ball Courts in HOA1 for car-pooling at 2:00 p.m. Please RSVP by March 12 to Sherry Kaplan at [email protected] as we must ensure we have sufficient docents for the group.

The JFG Second Night Pesach Seder will take place at the Vistas Dining Room, HOA1 on Tuesday, April 11. The dinner is plated and consists of gefilte fish, matzo ball soup, latkes, brisket or salmon with balsamic glaze, sautéed green beans and fresh fruit for dessert. And naturally, the Manischewitz! Cost for members is $ 25.50; for non-members $35.50. Please RSVP with choice of entrée on check to Laurie Colen, 63845 E. Orangewood Lane by April 3.

Thanks to Sherry Mamorstein and Linda Solomon for hosting our February Ladies’ Coffee with the yummy, almost New York, bagels. The women of the JFG enjoy these get-togethers greatly and appreciate all the effort made by the hostesses. Our new coordinator, Leslie Nagy, has ensured that there will be hostesses for many months to come. Way to go, Leslie!

Our upcoming coffee will be hosted by Marsha Foresman, 63905 East Greenbelt Lane, on Wednesday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. Please RSVP by March 24 by phone 520-818-1493 or to [email protected].

The April coffee will be hosted by Abby Greene and Margie Baron – date and details forthcoming.

The March 9 Co-Ed Book Club meeting dealing with The Secret Chord by Geraldine Brooks was hosted by Roseanne Beraznik and facilitated by David Levy. Our thanks to Roseanne for opening her home to us.

The Book Club will be holding a meeting on April 13 at the home of Marilyn Anthony, 37990 S. Silverwood Drive. We will be discussing the book And After the Fall by Laura Belfer, which was originally scheduled for October. Kindly RSVP to [email protected] by April 7. Please note that this is a food-free meeting due to Pesach. Feel free to come at 11:45 a.m. to schmooze but no lunches please. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

It is once again time to renew your membership in the JFG in the amount of $18 per person for 2017. Please send checks to Laurie Colen, 63845 E. Orangewood Lane. Please note that JFG free activities are open to members and their houseguests only.
