Do you enjoy eating good food with great friends? If so, you need to join the SaddleBrooke Squares Square Dance Club. Over 50 people participated in a progressive dinner on Thursday, January 12. We went to 11 members’ homes for appetizers and main courses. After a wonderful dinner we all met at the HOA 2 Ballroom for square dancing called by our own caller Larry Kraber.

Our club also enjoys going out for dinner and dancing. On January 5 we met at the Oracle Inn for socializing, dinner and dancing. That was a really great evening. On January 19 we went up to the Cadillac Chaparral for a very different type of dining and dancing experience. Both of these are venues we have visited previously and we always have a wonderful time.

SaddleBrooke Squares also joins other neighboring clubs in their activities. On January 25 we drove over to Sun City – Vistoso for a potluck, followed by dancing with their caller Rick Gittelman. A little travel is always stimulating.

Wow! And these were only the January’s activities. Please watch for more square dance fun in February when our activities will include trips farther afield.

If this sounds like fun to you, plan on joining us for lessons next October. Square dancing is listed in many health publications as one of the better activities we can undertake for our health. Mark your calendars now and plan on lots of fun, both physically and mentally.
