Registration for the annual SaddleBrooke Community Outreach Walkathon will begin on September 14 at the Golden Goose Fashion Show which will be held in the MountainView Ballroom beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The tee shirt design has been finalized, supporter names collected, breakfast arranged and we are ready to walk with opening exercises by Vital Moves at 7:40 a.m., Saturday, October 24. After a few stretches walkers will leave the SaddleBrooke Club parking lot for a trek around Ridgeview. A shorter walk is available at 1 ½ miles. The cost of the event is $30 per person, the tee shirt is required for breakfast and there will be raffle tickets for select prizes as well as an opportunity to buy tickets for the 1965 limited edition of a Jim Click Ford Mustang.

There will be water stations around the routes with bowls for your canine friends. A golf cart brigade will monitor the walks, willing to assist anyone who is in need. Don’t wish to walk? Register, join us for breakfast at SBCC at 8:30 a.m. wearing your tee shirt and know you have helped to support SBCO programs that provide services to needy kids in neighboring communities.

The theme this year revolves around shoes, a favorite among the youngsters who visit Kids’ Closet. So clean up those sneakers and get ready to walk for our children – for us it is All About the Kids.
