It was a fun fiesta!

The SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club loves to party! A fun filled Fiesta was attended by 25 intoxicating senoras at the bella casa of Dolores Riccardone, just adjacent to the fifth hole of the golf course at the Preserve. Laughter and Latin rhythm music was heard throughout the neighborhood and the lush greens of the golf course.

Margaritas were free flowing as we danced to the festive music provided by DJ, Terri Gage. What would a Fiesta be without food? I guess the answer to that would be fewer calories. No worries! We danced off those extra calories on the outdoor patio. We feasted on an array of delectable food made by our talented members. Our main course was Tacos in a Bag; a very unique way to serve tacos. Just open the individual size bag of tacos and add a bunch of assorted ingredients.

Our host, Dolores Riccardone, tempted us with her tasty chip and dip appetizer. A flavorful Mexican fruit salad with ancho chili powder was made by Chari Jackson. To top it all off were two mouth-watering deserts; a strawberry trifle and a chocolate banana cake presented by Shirley Miller and Lynne Kumza.

The highlight of the afternoon was the breaking of the piñata. We all gathered round as several ladies gave it a good whack. It took several tries before Charli Jackson decapitated the piñata filled with bubblegum. Each piece of gum had a number on it. Sharon Betts picked a number from a bag and the person with the corresponding bubblegum number was the prize winner – a beautiful set of designer margarita tea towels. This is the third time Jeanne Fernandez was the winner of a prize at our parties. What a lucky gal! We wished each other a Buenos Tardes as we drifted off into the sunset.
