Our New Accompanist – Chris Tackett
Chris is joining The Institute as our musical accompanist in April. He has a Masters from Indiana University with a varied background in music; having participated in musical theater, composed and arranged compositions for various musical venues, and worked as a music librarian and archivist. Additionally, he has been involved with many different choruses and vocal ensembles across the country, director of music at Temple Emanu-El, various Christian and Jewish organizations, and is a guest conductor and soloist for the Civic Orchestra of Tucson.
Yom Hashoah Remembrance – April 11
The Northwest division of Jewish Federation’s Yom Hashoah program will be at Splendido at Rancho Vistoso, 13500 N. Rancho Vistoso Blvd, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Bring a yahreit candle, say Kaddish with Rabbi Seltzer, and hear Berndt Wollschlaeger’s video presentation about the discovery of the truth of his Nazi father’s history and impact on his life.
