Horseshoes, anyone?

Jim Ryan

Four members of the SaddleBrooke Horseshoe Group recently pitched in and upgraded the horseshoe courts. Our thanks and appreciation go out to Joe Fiorito, John Sorenson, Don Stone and Gary Zellinger. These four guys worked to improve the two horseshoe courts for your playing pleasure. They wanted to let you know that you’re invited to come on down and start pitching. The two courts are located by SaddleBrooke TWO’s softball diamond.

Your pool key will open a storage box that is located by the horseshoe courts. The box contains horseshoes and a waiver. You are required to sign the waiver. Everything you need to pitch a few games of horseshoes is in the box and you can use the equipment free of charge. You are welcomed to give it a try and test your latent or current horseshoe pitching skills seven days a week from sunup to sundown.

It’s an activity that is perfect for men and women young and old. The two courts are regulation sized and are designed to accommodate older grandkids (adult supervision is required) and adult horseshoe pitchers of any age. So, if you’re itching to try pitching, saddle up and come to the courts.

You are also invited to join the regular horseshoe members when they play on Tuesdays between 8:00-10:00 a.m. A few of the members also play on Fridays between 8:00-10:00 a.m.
