The SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association will sponsor its annual Thanksgiving Grandkids’ Games on Friday, November 28. The event will be held at the softball complex located just southwest of the DesertView Center.

This is a great chance for you to get your grandkids away from their Xboxes and Nintendos. Bring them out to the ballfield for an opportunity to hit, throw and catch softballs, run bases and meet new friends. And we will also provide an opportunity for parents and grandparents to work off some of that Thanksgiving dinner.

Children of all ages are welcome. The Games features a program for preteens and a second program for teenagers. After the preteen games and before the teenagers’ games, the kids will enjoy treats of soda, candy and cookies. The teenagers’ program will feature hitting for accuracy and distance with live pitching by some of SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association’s finest pitchers.

To view a slide show from last spring’s Grandkids’ Games, log on to the softball website at www.saddlebrookesoftball.com. Then select Galleries and Spring GrandKids’ Day.

Reservations are not required for the games. Watch for more details about times from HOA Announcements. If you have questions please contact Jim Smith at 825-7025 or by email at [email protected].
