FSL introduces rolling membership

Rolly Prager

Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries announces a new way for members to renew their annual membership. Beginning this December, member dues will be payable one year from the date of the previous year’s payment. For example, if a member pays dues in February 2018, the dues for 2019 won’t be due until February 2019. This “rolling membership” approach is used by many non-profit organizations. It replaces the previous FSL procedure that required dues payment in January of each year regardless of when the previous year’s dues were paid.

In an effort to cut costs, FSL is going paperless for all members who provide an email address. Membership renewal notices will be sent to members via email and should arrive one month before dues are to be paid. If a second renewal notice is needed or if FSL does not have a member’s email address, reminders will be sent through regular mail.

Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries appreciates the continued support from its members and welcomes new members. Membership dues provide funds for new books, DVDs, audio books and magazines at all three SaddleBrooke Libraries. Membership also includes free admission to all FSL lectures and advance email notice for upcoming FSL trips and other events. Additional benefits are available for donations over $50.
