The SaddleBrooke Quilt Club (Friday Quilters) presented donation checks to two organizations in November. The first was the Oracle Schools Foundation whose primary mission is to provide preschool scholarships to three and four year olds who would not otherwise be able to receive this critical good start to their education. These students will eventually attend Mountain Vista School in Oracle.

At the other end of the spectrum, the quilters also made a monetary donation to the Hayden Senior Center. The donation went toward refrigeration space for their meal program which includes SaddleBrooke if necessary. In addition to the check, they were given 145 placemats and 11 quilts.

The Friday Quilters hold a bi-annual quilt show to raise money for our charitable projects and want to thank all those who attended our show last spring and bought boutique items or raffle tickets. Your money goes a long way as we use it to buy fabric and other supplies and add talented labor and a great deal of time to make quilted items for donation. In addition to what was given the Hayden Senior Center, we have given more than 36 bed quilts to CASA, 30 drain aprons to TMC, four burp pads, 18 receiving blankets and 18 quilts to Troop Support and 12 baby quilts to the Oracle Pregnancy Center. What a generous group of talented quilters!
