Ooh, la, la! What delightful dishes were created by the SaddleBrooke Francophiles on March 19 to honor two great French chefs, Julia Child and Jacques Pepin. This annual affair brought together faithful Francophiles to indulge themselves in the fine cuisine of these world famous culinary artists; members were requested to use their authentic recipes for sumptuous entrees, colorful side dishes and incredible desserts. Fine wines and champagne complimented the dinners and desserts.

Merci Beaucoup to our host homes: for hors d’oeuvres, Chris and Christiane Millar, who also were main course hosts; Mary and John Thompson, Sandy Morse and Tom Swikowski, Pat and George Dawydowych and Kay and Bob Kosman also served as main course hosts; and Twink and Bob Zimdar opened their home for the dessert portion of this fabulous dinner. Hats off and a huge Merci Beaucoup to Pat Dawydowych for chairing this event.

Our Springtime Follies on April 19 will be the final group activity for the 2014/2015 Season of Events. The SaddleBrooke Francophiles will be teaming up with the Spanish Culture Club for a spirited game of Boules, the French version of bocce ball. Afterward, both organizations will convene at the Tennis Pavilion for a joint potluck; a great finale for our year of parties and events.

Our Diners a la Maison continue on April 16 and May 21; Bob Kramer chairs this activity with members opening their homes for intimate dinners among other members.
