Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke has completed the second of its two annual food drives. The drives, one in the spring and one in the fall, are organized and run by church volunteers in SaddleBrooke and at the main campus in Oro Valley.

Sacks for food were distributed on Sunday, October 30. Then, on November 6 and 13, the filled sacks were returned to the HOA 1 Clubhouse as people came to Sunday services. At both SaddleBrooke and Oro Valley church, attendees placed the sacks behind their parked cars in their respective parking lots and the sacks were collected from there.

As is always the case with the food donated at Resurrection SaddleBrooke, IMPACT in Catalina was the recipient. On November 7 the SaddleBrooke food was delivered to IMPACT by Doug Laframboise and Karen and Stan Hustad. On November 14 the delivery was done by Barb and Phil Williams. Barb and Phil have taken on the food delivery as their personal ministry and normally do both deliveries. Total food delivered weighed in at 622 pounds.

In addition, food donated at the main campus in Oro Valley was also delivered to IMPACT as well as to the Gospel Rescue Mission, Interfaith Community Services, Grace-St. Paul Episcopal and the Marana Food Bank. In all 2459 pounds was collected in Oro Valley, 797 of which were delivered to IMPACT. Total food donated and distributed from both sites to all beneficiaries was 3081 pounds.

Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds its all-denominational Sunday worship services at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. in the Vermilion Room at the HOA 1 Clubhouse. All are welcome.
