Saturday, March 5 – Heard Museum Indian Fair and Market

This market is one of the largest and most prestigious events in the United States. It will bring together more than 700 outstanding American Indian artists from around the nation to show and sell their work. The Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market, for the 58th consecutive year, will be celebrated at the museum in Phoenix.

The bus will be leaving SaddleBrooke at 8:00 a.m. from the bocce ball court and departing at 4:00 p.m. for your return to SaddleBrooke. Ticket price is $24 and includes transportation and driver gratuity only. Entrance to the Indian Fair and Market is at your expense. Lunch is on your own (food available on-site). Tickets go on sale February 3 at 9:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse Foyer.

Sunday, March 6 – Bluegrass Jam Session

Back by popular demand—join your friends and neighbors this Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in The Agave Lounge for the ever popular Bluegrass Jam. The bar opens at 3:00 p.m. and features Happy Hour specials. The full menu, including the Sunday pizza and beer specials, is available starting at 4:00 p.m. With another packed house rockin’ event, seating is open so come early for the best seats. Eat, drink, jam!

Wednesday, March 9 – Karaoke!

Dust off those vocal chords! Join us for what is always an entertaining evening. Ron Aeschliman will host.

Thursday, March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day

The world will feel bright and gay and all eyes will be smiling! Especially those SaddleBrooke folks when they attend the St. Patrick’s Day Fun Fest on March 17. Entertainment provided by the always popular DJ Gus D Oldie and Ms. Gina. Their JukeBox Journey will be a trip down memory lane. Of course, there will be the traditional Irish tunes during dinner, but after dinner—get ready to dance down that lane!

Chef Dave O’Bishow will present an Irish feast of corned beef, Guinness beef stew, rhotkohl (red wine vinegar braised red cabbage), Colcannon potatoes (mashed with onions, cabbage and kale), tossed green salad, rolls and butter. For dessert—chocolate brownie with Bailey’s Irish Cream sauce.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a no host bar. Buffet dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Ticket price is $25 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity. Tickets go on sale February 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse foyer. So round up your friends and neighbors, dust off your dancing shoes and prepare for a truly fun filled, memorable evening when everyone is Irish!

Wednesday, March 23 – Greek Festival

Opa! Something new and different in the ‘brooke, a Greek Festival. Jim Anagnostopoulos of the Jamin J DJ’s from St. Demetrius Church will provide authentic Greek music. In addition, two of the traditional dancers from the church will be doing demonstrations and show you how to dance like the ever famous Zorba! Your menu this evening will be:

Appetizer station:

Spanakopita; Hummus with roasted red pepper, red onion, olives, tomato, artichoke and pita

Salad station:

Greek salad—tomato, cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olive, pepperoncini, feta; ranch/balsamic vinaigrette; rolls/butter

Entrées:

Gyro-shaved lamb, tzatziki, tomato, red onion, pita, feta

Lemon chicken with basil buerre blanc

Spanikorizo basmati rice

Greek green beans

Dessert:

Authentic baklava

No host bar at 5:30 p.m.; stationed dinner at 6:30 p.m. During cocktail hour, learn Greek dances! Ticket price is $28 and includes food, tax and gratuity. Tickets go on sale February 10 at 9:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse Foyer.

Monday, April 4 – Ladies Day Out in the Brooke

Save this date for SaddleBrooke One’s truly unique event – Our sixth Ladies Day Out in the Brooke! We have taken the best from the past five years and are making it even bigger and better. This year’s beneficiary will be the SaddleBrooke Troop Support, a very popular and viable organization in our community. Come shop the multitude of vendors and support this very worthwhile organization.

Tickets are only $10 and go on sale February 24 at 9:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse Foyer. The event is considered an open house so you can attend any time between noon and 6:00 p.m. Come and see for yourself why this special day is always highly anticipated and well attended. Delight in browsing and shopping the wide variety of vendors, try your luck at winning any of the great and unique raffle items and enjoy a refreshing beverage and delicious food that will be available for purchase. Invite your mother, daughter, sister, friends and neighbors! You will be very happy you did!

Sunday, April 10 – AZ Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs

Our own Arizona Diamondbacks vs. The Chicago Cubs at Chase Stadium. Seats are in section 117 on the first base side of the stadium. Departure time is 9:00 a.m. from the bocce ball court. Game time is 1:10 p.m. Return to SaddleBrooke immediately after the game. Price is $76 per person and includes your ticket to the game, transportation, driver gratuity and $5 in Dbucks (to be used for beverages or food). Meals are on your own. Tickets go on sale March 2 at 9:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse Foyer. Tickets must be purchased by March 28 to ensure this group rate.
