Cyclemasters are ready for another fun ride.

Marty Herbert

Hello, fellow SaddleBrookers, we wish for all to have a super 2017.

On Monday, January 9 the SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters held its first club meeting of the year at Nona Maria’s Italian Restaurant in Oracle, Arizona. Over 60 members were in attendance and enjoyed a wonderful Italian buffet.

At the meeting, this year’s new initiative to help the less fortunate was announced. The Pennies for the Penniless campaign was introduced to promote the club’s participation in our sport of cycling and, at the same time, generate funds to support worthwhile local charities. For every mile Cyclemasters cycle during 2017 the club will donate one penny to charity at the end of the year. One of the club members will be recording and publicizing the miles generated on a monthly basis. All members are encouraged to participate.

The SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters’ mission is To cycle for fun, food, fitness and community service. This initiative supports our mission, promotes camaraderie and gives us that warm intrinsic feeling when doing something good for the less fortunate.

The Cyclemasters, chartered in 1992, is comprised of approximately 160 members. We have scheduled daily rides from inside SaddleBrooke to outside rides that venture as far as downtown Tucson. If you want to learn more about our club, check out our website at saddlebrookecyclemasters.org.
