Confessions of a Surviving Alien is a two-volume book by SaddleBrooke resident Jon Meade that is filled with his amazing personal life experiences. He said it is a memoir of a life defined by one word: Vietnam.

Vietnam certainly affected his life and his struggle to find his meaning in life and life’s purpose. He sought to make a difference in that war, came near death, escorted the bodies of Marines back to their loved ones and struggled to make a life for himself after Vietnam.

He was a skilled boxer, stunt man, actor and has led an extraordinary life, yet he calls himself an ordinary guy. He started a newspaper with a partner who turned out to be a mobster and threatened his life. That is just one of the incredible events contained in this book. Some readers may question some of the events as being real, as I did at first, but the further I got into his story, I became a believer.

This is not just another story about a soldier’s experiences in Vietnam, it is a story of the adventures of an adventurer who is still on an amazing journey.
