Upcoming User Group Meetings

SBCC User Group meetings are open to all SaddleBrooke residents, whether you are a club member or not. The January meeting will be of special interest to all, as Orbitel’s Bryan Johnson will update us on new Internet connectivity options here in SaddleBrooke. This meeting will be held in MountainView Ballroom West at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25.

All User Group meetings are held on Mondays from 1:00-2:30 p.m. in the MountainView West Ballroom. A prize drawing is held at the end of each meeting. Future dates and speakers will be announced in this publication as details become available.

Spring Trimester Classes Open December 15

New classes are being scheduled now for the SBCC Spring Trimester. You’ll be able to find available classes on the club’s website calendar at saddlebrookecc.org by clicking on the “Calendar” link. Registration will open for these classes on December 15. Club members can sign up on the website by clicking the Enrollment>Classroom link and entering their club sign-in credentials. If you have any trouble with this process, you may contact our registrar, Alice Stuart, at 520-825-4239.

Saddlebrooke Computer Club “elearn” Opens

Last spring I announced that the SaddleBrooke Computer Club was launching a project to put selected classes online. I offered a sneak preview into this project by providing access to the first of these classes (computer security) in prior SaddleBrooke Progress issues.

While our development efforts are still ongoing, we now have a few classes and even a User Group presentation replay available to club members on our website’s new “eLEARN” Center. The active online presentations include:

Computer Security

Setting Up a Google Account for Gmail

Should I Move to Windows 10 (User Group replay)

Photoshop Elements A (select lessons only)

You’ll find some icons for other classes in the eLearn Center that are not active yet, but they will be populated as development efforts continue.

More online classes are planned for our eLearn Center. We’ll keep you informed as additional classes and presentations are added. This new e-Learn Center is an additional benefit for SBCC Members. Our live, instructor-led classes, will remain the primary venue for SBCC educational opportunities.

Computer Club Members can access the eLearn Center by going to our Website at saddlebrookecc.org, hovering over the Enrollment link and clicking “eLearn.” When you select a class, you will need your usual member sign-in credentials to access the class.

How to Access Our Classes

You must be a member of SaddleBrooke Computer Club to take our classroom and eLearn classes. If you are not yet a member, go to our website at www.saddlebrookecc.org and click on “Membership” for details. If you have any problems getting registered, contact our registrar, Alice Stuart, at 520-825-4239.
