Community Church at SaddleBrooke proudly announces the Robert Fries Opportunity Scholarships of $5,000 each awarded to Taylor Donaldson and Chris Smolar. The scholarships are funded by a bequest from the Fries Family Trust and administered by Community Church.

Robert (Bob) Fries, a SaddleBrooke resident for 20 years, had a strong interest in the employees of HOA 1 and HOA 2 where he frequently dined and enjoyed interacting with the employees. His desire was to leave behind a legacy that would allow the hard working young people of our community the opportunity to pursue their lifetime ambitions.

Chris, an HOA 1 employee, is currently enrolled at the University of Arizona with a major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Taylor, an HOA 2 employee, will continue attending Pima Community College where she is studying to become a dental hygienist.

Community Church joins with the Fries Family Trust in wishing these two industrious young people success in their future careers.
