Community Church at SaddleBrooke has a number of committees/ministry teams that help the church function smoothly as it spreads the love of God. Below is a list of the committees and a very brief statement of their purpose. To serve on a committee is a great way to get to know others and to help the church to operate with enthusiasm and efficiency. Snowbirds who attend our church are welcome to serve on any of the committees while they are in SaddleBrooke.

Missions: The purpose is to arrange for distribution of funds to various charitable organizations in our community, nation and world.

Blue Dot Sunday: Volunteers are organized to transport and distribute the donated food to the Tri-community Food Bank in Mammoth.

Fellowship: This group plans fellowship opportunities that help us get to know each other better.

Flowers: They fund the flowers prepared by Inglis Florist for each worship service during the year.

Women’s Ministries and Bible Studies: This outreach provides biblical teaching and assistance for the women of SaddleBrooke and the surrounding areas.

Prayer Team: The people in this vital ministry pray for the church family and special individual needs as they arise. Once a month they gather as a group to pray but are always alert to intercede for our church and community.

In Touch Ministry: This ministry has twelve monthly coordinators who seek to respond to real needs touching people such as providing meals, driving to appointments, grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, running errands, obtaining medical equipment from our inventory at the Parish house and other help as needed.

LIFT – Ladies in Fellowship Together: A group for ladies who are single, widowed or alone in their faith meet together the third Tuesday of each month. It is open to the community.

Men’s Empowerment Groups: Men read and journal the appointed Scripture and then meet in small groups to discuss their entries and seek wisdom to enhance their walk with God and love for others. These groups are open to the community.

Stewardship Committee: Purpose is to count, record and deposit member contributions collected during church service.

Altar Guild: Purpose is to prepare the altar/communion table for Sunday worship, seasonal emphasis and special services.

Communion Committee: Their purpose is to prepare the church service for open communion on the first Sunday of each month. This entails setting up the table with the necessary items for the celebration.

Usher/Greeter Committee: Their function is to coordinate the selection, scheduling and training of ushers and greeters.

Sound Booth: They facilitate the technical aspects of the Worship Service both visual and audio.

Office Assistance: They gather to fold bulletins and prepare materials for Sunday worship. They seek to be available to assist with filing, copying, mail outs and other office duties.

Encouragement Baskets: They provide and deliver baskets to women who have had high impact issues hit their lives and who need a little TLC. Baskets to include: goodies, devotional books and a journal to write how God intervened, comforted and encouraged them during their difficult time. The journal stays with the basket as an encouragement to the next recipients.

Library Committee: The Parish House of CCSB houses a collection of donated materials. It is the job of the library committee to screen and arrange the books and resources. It is a self-service ministry where most borrowers find an item and reshelf it when returned.

Road Clean Up Committee: CCSB has a designated area along Lago del Oro that this committee cleans up several times during the year.

Church Sign Committee: Signs are set out directing the community to services. The signs are set out on Saturday and picked up after services on Sunday.

As you can see there is something for everyone at Community Church which meets every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the DesertView Theatre. We seek to be a community of grace and welcome you to visit us.
