Their eyes tell the story. Christmas came early this year for over 1,200 elementary students in area Title I Schools as the SaddleBrooke Rotary Club delivered books to each and every child. Schools qualify for Title I services when a specific percentage of the school’s population falls below the poverty line. For many students in Catalina, Oracle, San Manuel and Mammoth, their families have no budget for books. Enter SaddleBrooke Rotary Club to fill that need.

The SaddleBrooke Rotary Club delivers books to these students three times each year; at the beginning of the year, before Christmas and at the end of the school year. George Corrigan heads up this Rotary project, personally vetting the book selection for each grade. Members of our Rotary organization get much joy from helping to deliver the books to the students.

Much of the funding for this project, as well other philanthropies, comes from the club’s Fore For Kids Golf Tournament held each spring. Save the date for the 2018 tournament, which will be held at the Oro Valley Country Club on Monday, April 23. This year the tournament will also raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation as well as many other charities.

SaddleBrooke Rotary Club is packed with energetic volunteers coming together in Rotary to assist area schools, our community and international philanthropies. If you like giving back and working with a team of like-minded professionals, Rotary may be for you. Rotary is open to those who live or work in SaddleBrooke, SaddleBrooke Ranch and surrounding communities. The organization meets each Thursday at the Agave Lounge of SaddleBrooke One Clubhouse. We order delicious lunches from the Roadrunner by 11:30 a.m., so come a little earlier and meet some of our members. We have great speakers each week during our meetings.

While SaddleBrooke Rotary Club enjoys fellowship, lunch and a great speaker each week, we do so much more. You can not only join us at our regular lunch meetings, but also for some of these future events:
